Apple Patches Record 62 Bugs in Safari

Computerworld reports that Apple patched a whopping 62 vulnerabilities in Safari 5, but that didn’t prevent it from being one of the first browsers to be hacked at the Pwn2Own contest.

Six of the vulnerabilities were accompanied by the phrase “arbitrary code execution,” which is Apple-speak for “critical.” Fifty-seven of the bugs can be exploited by “drive-by” attacks, with most of the vulnerabilities being found in WebKit.
