SAFLINK Corporation has announced the public availability of SAFmodule 2.1 for Novell Modular Authentication Service (NMAS). SAFmodule 2.1 is designed to satisfy the requirements of existing pilot installations moving to full production rollout. This new release is based on SAFLINK’s recently completed construction of a new scalable, cross-platform component architecture and includes a new set of unique, patent-pending features that enable deployment of biometric technologies to the very large enterprise.
SAFmodule 2.1 for NMAS provides Novell NetWare administrators the following set of key new features:
- Disconnected Login provides strong authentication for business travelers and telecommuting employees.
- Practice Enrollment provides easy-to-use self-guided tutorials that allow even the least experienced network users to become proficient with the convenience of using biometric technologies.
- Self Enrollment allows employees to convert their own account from passwords to biometrics in a secure environment, when they are ready to, and at their own pace.
- Fast Enroll allows large groups of employees to be rapidly converted to strong biometric authentication.
