Black Hat: Kaminsky Talks DNS

LAS VEGAS. DNS is core to the networking of the modern internet, enabling IP addresses to connect to domain names. Back in 2008, security researcher Dan Kaminsky revealed flaws in DNS that could have potentially enabled cache poisoning and other DNS manipulation to disrupt network traffic.

At the Black Hat USA conference here, Kaminsky answered a few questions about the current state of DNS as well as DNSSEC, which was originally seen in 2008 as being the long-term solution for DNS security.
