HP Networking: Unified Communications

As opposed to focusing on its own solutions, HP’s focus is on enabling the network to deliver and manage unified communications (UC) effectively.

Among HP’s partners in the UC space is Microsoft as part of a $180 million deal inked in 2009. HP also has strong ties with Avaya where it has reseller agreements and partnership agreements.

On the video side of UC, HP’s visual collaboration business portfolio was sold to Polycom in 2011. Though HP has officially exited the business, HP retains a strong partnership with Polycom in the video collaboration area.
