D2 Technologies Adds Multi-Party Video Conferencing and iPhone Support to Its mCUE IP Communications Interface: D2 Technologies, the market leader in embedded IP communications software platforms, today announced a significant upgrade to its mCUE converged communications client. Ricoh Announces Compact, Portable Video Conferencing Room System Based on Vidyo Platform: Ricoh Company, Ltd., a worldwide leader in digital office equipment and advanced document management solutions and services, and Vidyo, Inc. today announced the Ricoh Unified Communication System P3000, the first Ricoh product resulting from a partnership with Vidyo as part of Ricoh’s launch into the unified communications market earlier this year. The P3000 delivers HD multipoint video conferencing, and enables users to share documents, photos and videos using a 3.5 lb portable room system that is built on Vidyo’s innovative platform. 

Unified Communications is a Promising Market in China: Although the adoption rate of IP telephony is still low in China, the implementation of unified communications (UC) applications among the companies currently using IP telephony is encouraging.

In a new survey, independent telecoms analyst Ovum found that only 16% of the surveyed Chinese companies have already deployed IP telephony. This is the lowest adoption rate across the 12 countries surveyed. However, amongst the companies currently using UC, application is encouraging.

Acme Packet Enterprise Session Border Controllers Integrated into HP’s Unified Communications Solutions Portfolio: Acme Packet, the leader in session delivery networks, today announced that HP has integrated the Acme Packet family of Net-Net enterprise session border controllers (E-SBCs) into the HP Unified Communications (UC) Solutions Portfolio. By integrating Acme Packet E-SBCs, HP can deploy IP-based UC solutions that strengthen security, enhance reliability and interoperate with a wide range of UC infrastructure and communication service offerings.

Alteva Relaunches Its Partner Program: Alteva Inc., a unified communications (UC) solution provider headquartered in Philadelphia, has enhanced its Channel Partner Program. The upgraded program, for master agents, agents, and referral partners, aims to help partners boost revenues and increase market share with a cloud-based UC solution, consisting of Alteva’s hosted VoIP integrated with Microsoft Communication Services, including Exchange, Office Communications Server (OCS), and SharePoint. 

CloudTC Glass 1000, BroadSoft’s BroadWorks Interoperate: CloudTC, a software innovator in business applications and IP telephony, today announced the interoperability of the CloudTC Glass 1000, the industry’s smartest IP phone, with BroadSoft’s BroadWorks voice application server.
