MyTelepath: Communications integrated into core management business processes.

MyTelepath, headquartered in Burnsville, Minn., is a managed service provider targeted at small and medium-size businesses that offers hosted VoIP and messaging in addition to an extensive suite of other business services.

The privately-held company was founded in 2002, and prides itself on having a business class network that provides superior customer service and technical support to its customers,allowing those customers to reduce their operating costs, minimize their risks, and increase their productivity by refocusing their energies on their core business rather than communications challenges.

MyTelepath delivers much of its service in the upper Midwest region of the United States, but is also active in other areas, serving customers in New York, Pittsburgh, Washington D.C., and Miami on the East Coast; Phoenix, Dallas and Houston in the Southwest; and Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle on the West Coast.

In addition to VoIP support, the company offers hosted business services that include enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and supply chain management (SCM).

The company offers three products that are designed to optimize business productivity. The first of these, named MySuite, is a business automation tool engineered to create seamless processes between independent departments, such as sales, marketing, customer service, human resources, accounting, and warehouse management.

MySuite combines three key components—ERP, CRM and SCM—into one package designed to integrate with the telephone and e-mail system, thus improving the overall management of business operations. For example, this tool lets customers automate and streamline the quoting process for the sales force; create, manage and measure marketing campaigns; provide accurate customer information on demand; provide easy access to financial and management reports; recruit, manage, and retain employees; optimize the use of inventory and other resources; and share real-time information across these various operations.

The second product, MyWAN, is an aggregate secure wide area networking service that provides connections to both domestic and international business locations. This service provides unique, customized connections to locations of the network manager’s choice, without the need to juggle multiple service providers, contracts, or licenses.

Finally, MyTelephony is billed as a hassle-free phone and e-mail system designed for small and medium size businesses. The service provides over 40 PBX-type features, including unified messaging, fax to e-mail conversions, remote office connectivity, campus-to-campus dialing plans with 4 digit transfers, advanced routing, on-net calling, and hunt groups.

The company claims that customers can realize savings of 30 to 50 percent when compared to traditional circuit switched voice services. The service provides the flexibility to either let the customer handle the administrative tasks of the system—such as moves, adds and changes—or let MyTelepath perform those functions for the customer. In addition, the MyTelephony and MySuite can be combined into one system, thus combining both telephony and ERP tools for the enterprise.
