“While all the social media/VoIP buzz of the day seems to have centred around Facebook and Skype’s new friendship, another VoIP company has been doing some partnering of its own, with Telefonica owned JAJAH announcing it would be powering IP voice calling on Yahoo’s newly released Messenger iPhone App,” writes Sylvia Barak on RCRWireless Unplugged.
“The JAJAH/Yahoo partnership is not really a new one, going back to 2008, but this new app integration allows Yahoo Messenger users to make free calls to friends, and low cost calls to any phone in the world directly from their mobile. It’s also a strategy very much in line with the latest trend of community linking and pooling of social resources,” Barak writes
