NEW YORK, NY. October 13, 2010 — ShoreGroup, Inc., a premier systems management solutions and IT professional services firm, today announced that it has successfully deployed Cisco Unified Communications (UC) 8.0 applications in a fully virtualized environment within Cisco's Unified Computing System (UCS) B-Series Blade Servers for a large multi-national media company. This most recent "UC on UCS" deployment illustrates ShoreGroup's expertise in designing, deploying, and supporting virtualized Cisco Unified Communications (UC) implementations.

"‘UC on UCS’ is a deployment strategy for operating multiple instances of various Cisco UC applications on one physical server as opposed to the need for a standalone physical server for each and every UC application. Many of our customers have already virtualized much of their data center over the past few years, and some of the last remaining applications to be virtualized have included their UC applications. With the Cisco UCS Server hardware platform and Cisco UC 8.0 software release, virtualization of these applications is now a reality," said Barry Katzman, ShoreGroup's Director of Sales Engineering.
