Adtran Inc., (ADTN) has announced two new switch platforms and a number of new security features for NetVanta routers and switches designed to target customers in vertical markets such as health care, hospitality and retail. Offering 802.3at – Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+), the new switch platforms, reports Business Wire, will deliver to businesses higher power ports to meet physical security demands. In addition, the platforms are complemented by a host of new NetVanta features enabling enhanced network security and productivity for small business and enterprise IT managers.
