Boasting an ‘Orthogonal Array Beam Forming’ antenna system, Meru Networks has announced its new high performance 802.11n wireless access points. According to the company’s news release, the new i-Series is designed to provide 99.99% wireless network availability, toll quality VoIP services, HD Video support, and wired-like reliability.
“The Meru Networks i-Series access points (APs) are enterprise wireless products specifically designed for aesthetically demanding enterprise environments while delivering the high performance expected of Meru Networks’ wireless solutions. The first model in the i-Series, the AP320i, is an internal antenna, dual-radio access point that delivers industry leading 802.11n performance in both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. The new antenna design provides high isolation and space and pattern diversity which improves performance and efficiency. The flagship of Meru’s access points, the AP320i extends all the features of Meru’s Virtual Cell architecture – requiring up to 30% fewer AP devices than legacy systems, roaming free of interruptions, and simple installation – to environments requiring a unique array of low-profile mounting options and unobtrusive design.”
