CBR Online reports that global Ethernet switching market and Ethernet routing market has recorded a year-over-year revenue growth and Cisco accounts for 66.2 percent of Ethernet switch market share. The enterprise router market in Q410 grew nearly 14 percent compared to previous quarter, and 22 percent year-over-year.
“’The Enterprise Networks Tracker shows that 10GbE switch revenue increased a moderate 4.2% over 3Q10 and a strong 57.3% year over year in the fourth quarter and more than 1.1 million ports shipped in 4Q10 as 10GbE adoption in datacentres and campus deployments continues to accelerate,’ Borovick said.”
