Force10 Networks says that its Ethernet switch/router solutions were selected to power network a 43-Story Indonesian office building. According to this news report on TMC.net, The Energy Building provides high speed Internet access, IP telephony and an intelligent building and facilities management system to the building’s tenants over one IP backbone.

“‘While our IT group operates from a single data center, we provide data and network services to a variety of businesses with high expectations and a broad range of requirements,’ said Yuyun Priandy, IT advisor, The Energy. ‘During our evaluation, it quickly became apparent that Force10 is focused on delivering cost-effective, high performance data center solutions that can be easily deployed and managed in heterogeneous network environments like ours.’

“The IT team at The Energy building deployed the E1200 and the S50 due to their optimum price/performance ratio as well as their 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10 GbE) port density that enables seamless growth while ensuring investment protection and lower power and cooling costs.”
