In a press release by the company and presented on Market Wire, Blue Coat Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: BCSI) announced that it was the market leader in Content Security Gateway Appliances in 2010, according to the latest report from Infonetics Research. This is a position the company has held since Infonetics first began reporting market share numbers for Content Security Gateway appliances in 2006. Blue Coat recently introduced its Internet-delivered Web security solution, the Blue Coat Cloud Service.
