According to Computerworld, Facebook says its forensics team has identified the hacker named Kirllos who recently tried to sell 1.5 million Facebook accounts.

VeriSign is credited with first spotting Kirllos, reporting that the IDs were being sold for $25 to $45 per 1,000 accounts. Facebook spokesman Simon Axten wouldn't reveal the actual name of Kirllos, saying only:

We have determined Kirllos' identity through IP addresses, online accounts, and other information and believe that he's very likely a low-level actor.
