Mashable reports that the hacker group Anonymous launched attacks to bring down the sites of Egypt’s Ministry of Information and President Hosni Mubarak’s National Democratic Party. The action was in support of the Egyptian protesters who are now taking part in a revolt, says infoTECH.
The “hacktivists” recently launched DoS attacks against companies that severed their business arrangements with the WikiLeaks group. UK police have arrested five people in connection with the attacks, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation has executed more than 40 search warrants in the U.S. in connection with the attacks.
